Crime Scene was a group exhibition curated by Tania Visosevic and was held at The Perth Centre For Photography in 2005. The artists were encouraged to play with the themes of a crime scene. Some responding with abstract interpretations and others like myself responding with a literal approach. My approach drew from the art of set design and was in part a homage to the late Robert A Burns as well as Michael Hanekes film 'Benny's Video'.
Conceptually this piece represented the dismemberment/detachment of the unimportant things in my life at the time and the need to remove creative pursuits that were not conducive for the environment of a new born child. One last big gory send off for gruesome things.

The construction and planning for this installation was an intensely methodical process that required attention to detail. Absorbing myself in this process took its toll mentally as the overall theme of dismemberment involved conceiving methods of disposing of my own body.
